Area-Wide Technologies was founded in 1999 by Jeff Facer after a critical technology failure at his family’s insurance company resulted in the loss of all their data. Determined to prevent other businesses from experiencing the same hardship, Jeff built Area-Wide with a mission centered on reliability, protection, and unwavering support. Through the challenges of the 2008 financial crisis and the industry shifting Covid 19 pandemic, Jeff guided Area-Wide with steady leadership, ensuring clients always had the technology and expertise they needed to stay secure and productive. In 2024, Jeff began his transition into retirement. Jonathan Hagler—an Area-Wide team member for 16 years—stepped into the role of President and CEO, carrying forward Jeff’s commitment to delivering the most professional IT services in central Illinois. Today, we proudly continue that mission.
